BODEGA BAY FISHERMAN'S FESTIVAL CRAFT SHOW

"OCEANS REIGN"

The 39th Annual FISHERMAN'S FESTIVAL will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 28th and April 29th this year. Our Festival, affectionately referred to as "FISH FEST" is a non profit volunteer run project of this local community, their relatives and many friends who generously give of their time and talents, to assist in making this two days of fun for everyone. Proceeds from "FISH FEST" provide support for the local community in the form of funds for the local schools, scholarships for local students, as well as on-going support of community services. One of the highlights of "FISH FEST" continues to be the Parade of Boats and "Blessing of the Fishing Fleet" on Sunday morning.

An entrance fee for Festival attendees will be charged again this year: (fee TBD), Children under 12 years and pets, free.

PLEASE NOTE: Each space is allowed 2 additional staff people (no admission charge). Passes will be supplied prior to the event.

We advertise "FISH FEST" on radio stations, in newspapers and magazines throughout Northern California. Locally we utilize roadside signs, postcards, and flyers placed in surrounding locations. "FISH FEST" is a 39-year tradition in Bodega Bay and many people return each year just because they've been before and it's FUN!

In addition to the Craft Show, we strive to provide outstanding entertainment. All the food offered is locally prepared.

SPACE RENTAL: Crafter spaces are 10 feet by 10 feet. The cost is $200.00. We do not allow one crafter to rent more than one space.

APPLICATIONS: Send the application, 4 photographs of your handmade craft, a photo of you in your work area, a self-addressed return stamped envelope, and a check or money order for $200.00 payable to Bodega Bay Fisherman's Festival. You must include a California reseller's permit number to be considered for a space. Complete application packages must be received by Monday, March 5th, 2012. Your application will be returned if photos, reseller's permit number, or payment is not enclosed.

SELECTION PROCESS: Crafter participants will be selected the week of, March 5th. We judge and select from your photographs so your pictures are very important in this selection process. We will make EVERY effort to accept HANDMADE CRAFTS BEING SOLD BY YOU, THE MAKER. Please do not send samples of your work. The notification of your acceptance or denial will be sent out no later than Monday, March 12th, 2012.

We are looking for unique and traditional crafts. The jury selects the most appealing, best, innovative crafts and strives to maintain a balance of various crafts. Frequently some very good work must be passed by to maintain this balance. We look for quality in a crafter's product, and will not accept less simply to fill booth spaces.

LOCATION: "FISH FEST" is held on a paved area adjacent to the beautiful Bodega Bay Harbor. This is an outdoor show and is subject to strong winds (sometimes gusts of 35 plus mph) and rain. If selected, you MUST come prepared with weights or tie-downs for your booth. A broom, in the event of wind and rain, is advisable. We always hope for the best but Mother Nature has a mind of her own! YOU must be prepared in the event of adverse weather conditions. We DO NOT refund your fee if the weather is bad!
